From 1 July 2026, diagnostic imaging reports are required by law to be uploaded to each patient’s My Health Record once reported (unless you have opted out or another exception applies).

  • Limb X-ray reports (arms and legs) will be available to view as soon as they are uploaded.
  • All other X-ray and diagnostic imaging reports (including CT, MRI and PET scans, mammograms and ultrasounds) will be available after 5 days, regardless of the result.
  • If a single report contains multiple results and different delay periods would otherwise apply, the 5-day delay will apply to the entire report.

North Shore Radiology & Nuclear Medicine will upload diagnostic imaging reports by default in line with these timeframes. Only written reports will be uploaded to My Health Record; images are not included. Images will continue to be available through the MyNSR app.

The five-day delay gives your healthcare provider time to review your results and discuss them with you.
