We have an upgrade underway! North Shore Radiology and Nuclear Medicine are investing in a major upgrade of our radiology services to strengthen our position as a leader in radiology on Sydney’s North Shore, now and into the future. This major refurbishment of our facilities will improve access to high quality imaging and will deliver improved patient flow, reduced wait times and a more comfortable overall experience for our patients. Expected completion is November 2026.
This upgrade has been carefully staged across two phases to ensure continuity of imaging services, so referrers and patients should experience minimal disruption to bookings, scan availability, or reporting.
Phase 1 – now complete
This phase involved the successful relocation of our Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT department to the new Centre for Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT in the North Shore Health Hub. This move provides modern facilities and improved access to advanced PET-CT and nuclear medicine services on the North Shore campus.
Phase 2 – NSPH practice rebuild (commenced Tuesday 7th April 2026)
This phase is a comprehensive refurbishment of our North Shore Private Hospital radiology practice. Key enhancements include:
At times during the refurbishment, there will be some adjustments to our service. While every modality (MRI, CT, XRay, US, IR) will remain serviced throughout the refurbishment period, there will be times where our capacity is reduced. Through meticulous planning we will hold spots and prioritise urgent cases, inpatients and have escalation points for clinically urgent studies.
It is our aim to ensure that there is minimal disruption to referrers and patients. We remain committed to continuing to deliver the high standard of care you have come to expect from North Shore Radiology and we appreciate your ongoing support during this time.
