As part of our commitment to delivering best‑in‑class care, North Shore Radiology now uses Elucirem as the standard contrast agent for all MRI studies—with the exception of cardiac MRI, where Dotarem will continue to be used. Elucirem has replaced the routine use of Dotarem across our MRI services.
Elucirem is administered using a weight‑based, half‑dose protocol, providing comparable lesion conspicuity while supporting best‑practice principles in reducing lifetime gadolinium exposure. This approach also contributes to lowering environmental impact, aligning with our focus on patient safety and sustainability.
