Minimally invasive interventional radiology refers to a medical speciality that uses image guidance, such as x-ray, ultrasound or CT to perform minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating various diseases within the body. Unlike traditional surgery, interventional radiology procedures are performed through small incisions, minimising the need for large surgical incisions.
