North Shore Radiology is a partnership of over 20 specialist radiologists. Each radiologist has completed a 6 year medical degree and junior medical officer experience, followed by 5 years of specialist training in Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology (RANZCR) in diagnostic radiology.

All of our radiologists are actively participating in CME programs and keep up to date with the ever advancing changes within the field. Several have conjoint appointments with the University of Sydney and lecture to medical students and trainee radiologists.

Our team has established a reputation for excellence – the qualities of teamwork, compassion and tenacity, allowing us to provide information for the most accurate results. There is always the option of subspecialty expert opinion for challenging cases.

Nuclear Medicine

The Nuclear Medicine section of North Shore Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is operated by A/Professor Paul Roach and Dr Elizabeth Bernard. Both are highly regarded specialists locally and nationally, and each has over 15 years experience as medical specialists in the discipline. In addition to being credentialed Nuclear Medicine specialists, both are Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), members of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Physicians in Nuclear Medicine (ANZAPNM) and both have clinical academic appointments at the University of Sydney.

The close working relationship between our Nuclear Medicine physicians and radiologists allows us to consult each other as appropriate and to optimise the diagnostic results of patient studies performed throughout the practice.

The Nuclear Medicine department is a multi-camera practice with all Siemens gamma cameras, including a recently installed state-of-the-art Siemens Symbia SPECT/CT multidetector scanner. This technology allows for the most cutting edge diagnostic capability for patients attending the practice.
